HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
Well it's a new year and Paul and I couldn't be more happier to get on with it! The list has started and now we need to meet the challenge of that list. Since the last posting, we have started on putting in the new flooring in cabin #7. Looks much nicer in there. Hoping to get that finished and start major cleaning and putting in the new curtains and miscellaneous stuff I find on my travels around and about. Then on to cleaning up the other cabins. Plenty to keep me busy that's for sure. Hopes to getting another cabin redone before opener too. Keep your fingers crossed.
Yes, there is finally enough ice on the lake so Paul has been finally able to get out and do some ice fishing. New area for him to learn about. Between you and I, pretty tired of the words 'ice fishing' already and it's only been a week or so! But he is enjoying his new hobby and we are hoping that we can have a set up here for visitors for next winter. As of now, no running water in the cabins makes it hard for people to stay here. Another idea on the 'list'...
Yesterday we had quite a few reservations come in for cabin rental for this summer. Yippee!! I'm so excited to see familiar faces return and getting to meet new faces and add them to our family. People have been so kind and understanding and patient with us, we are overwhelmed with all the kind and encouraging words.
